Correction.
Editors TimK.s-KxrKueiusK:
I notice in your issuoof last Friday,
a st dement iu regard to freight to
Now York on pears, which allow me
to correct. You state that the rale is
10 cents per crate in favor of all rail
route. You are mistaken; it is the
other way. The freight charges are
30 cents per crate by steamer, and 00
cents per barrel. By all rail, 401
cents per crate and 80 cents per bar
rel Steamer shipment arc arriving in
g ood order
I. S. Norton.
The mistake iu this matter was our
own—and come about very naturally.
We give place to the above, in order
that (lie mistake he correclcd.
The Primary.
Capt. R. P. Doss, clmirmau of the
county Democratic Executive Com
mittee gives official notice this morn
ing of the primary to he held Fri
day July 23tl>. It will he seen that
only registered voters will lie allowed
to assist in the party nominations.
The Times-Enterprise is now nt
work on tiie registry lists of the sever
al districts, and they will he ready in
time. The Executive Committee is
called to meet in Judge Merrill's
office, Saturday 28th inst„ for the
purpose of consolidating the vote of
the day before.
Recaptured.
A prisoner named Cutfcc Smith
was sent down to Monticello Saturday
afternoon. The charge against Smith
is forgery. He had been in jail at
Monticello, hut escaped from there
Tuesday, and cune here, where he
was arrested by Sheriff Hurst and
sent hack. ^
One Needed Here.
A switcli engine which has been
in the shops here for several days
tieiug repaired, has been sent to
Albany. The yard men say that
such an engine is needed here very
much, and it is understood that ono
is in Savannah to be sent here.
The Kind of a Democrat He Is.
Here is what Raymond, the spicy
Patten correspondent of the Boston
World says:
“Before any one expresses our sen
timents, here's our Democracy: U. S.
Senate, J. B. Gordon; Governor, W.
J. Northcu; 2nd Congressional Dis
trict, J. ill, Bushin; State Senate,
Hon. R. G. Mitchell; Lower House,
A. W. Ivey and S. G. McLendon.
The country should not antagonize
the town, or town the country. That
is the kind of a Democrat we arc.
United wo stand, divided we fail,”
“Rnymoud” is probably aware by
this time that botli Mr. Rushin and
Mr. McLendon have declined to run.
They are both good men, anil would
have received a big vole in the county.
“Will Try to be Worthy.’’
Immediately after the adoption of
the resolutions endorsing Hon W. .1.
Northen for governor, Inst Saturday,
Mr. T. N. Hopkins, who was once a
pupil of the coming governor, wired
him the action that had been taken.
He received the following nnswer :
Sparta, Ga., )
July 12. 1890. )'
Hon. T. N. Hopkins:
Many thanks;
•sill try to he worthy.

Blood Dlseaso.
Blood diseases are terrible ou ac
count of their loathsome nature, and
the fact that they wreck the constitu
tion so completely unless the proper
antidote is applied. B. B.B. (Botan
ic Blood Balm) is composed of the
true antidote for blood poison. Its
use never fails to give satisfaction
Mrs. Laura Hart, Beaufort, S. C„
writes: “A loathsome form of blood
poison was killing me. My appetite
was lost, my bones ached, ana parts
of my flesh seemed as if it would come
off my bones. A friend brought me
a bottle of B. B. B. The sores began
healing at once, and when I had
taken two bottles I was surprised
at mv rapid recovery.”
W. A. Bryant. Moody, Texas,
writes: “I had an agonizing case of
Salt Rheum lor four years, whioh
medicine I took only seemed to ng y
gravate until I found B. B. B. It
cured my hand, which resembles a
burnt surface. It also cured my two
children of itch, which had resisted
previous treatment.”

We desire to say to our citizens, that for

remedies have won their great popularity
purely on their merits. S. J. Casscls, Drug-
