Under the new train schedule which the
Northern Pacific Railroad inaugurates June
15th, 1890, there will sixteen .raius-contlnental
passenger trains moving daily on this great
line, eight ca$t bound uml eight west bound,
exclusive of 108 local, main and hrach line pas
senger trains running daily west of 8t. Paul,
Ashland and Duluth in Wisconsin, Minnesota,
North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Oregon and
Washington on its 3800 miles of track.

line at fit. Paul, announces that under the new
arrangement the first through train, the pacific
Express, leaves st. Paul at 8:15 a, m dally, with
a through Pullman Palace sleeping car, leaving
Chicago daily at 5:30 p. in. via the Chicago,
Milwaukee & st. Paul Railway, running via Hel
ena and Tacoma direct to Portland, and making
close connection at st. Paul with all trains leav
ing st. bonis in the forenoon nnd Chicago in the
afternoon of the previous day, arriving at Taco
ma 10:50 a. m. of the third day and Portland the
same afternoon.
Thi second through train, No. 1, the Pacific
Mail, leaving fit. Paul at 1:15 p. tu., daily, mak
ing close connections with the Fast Mall,” and
all night trains out of Chicago, will carry a
through Pullman Palace Sleeping Car and one
or more Pullman Tourist Sleeping Cars leaving
Chicago at 10:45 p. m. daily via the Wisconsin
Central line, running through to Portland via

The Northern Pacific now operates the largest
equipment of (lining ears of nny railroad in tne
world, twenty-four, and also the longest Pull,
man sleeping car line in existence, namely :Chi-
cago to Portland via Tacoma, and is the only
line running these sleepers to the principal
trade centres and pleasure resorts in Northern
Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana and Wash
ington.
The recently completed Butte Air Line of the
Northern Pacific makes this the shortest route
