That cotton factory: It is an im
portant subject. _
Mi. Frank Monroe, of Metcalfe,
was in town yesterday.
Mrs. L. M. Harley left yesterday
morning for a visit to Macon.
Remember we are doing all kinds
of job work at very low rates.
Material is being hauled on the
ground for enclosing the jail lot.
Mr. N. W. Lighter and family, of
Kissimmee, Fla., are in the city.
Mr. Moses M. Blanton, a merchant
of Moultrie, was taking the town in
yesterday. __
Have you seen Evans and Ma«-
Lsan’s fine stock of buggies and wag
ons? They have a magnificent stock.
A party of about a dozen young
people spent the day on the Ochlock-
ORee yesterday picnicing and fishing.
We will thank our friends in the
countiy tf send short news items.
They will be appreciated. Send them
in. '
Inspector Pinson says that with
his present force he will, in a few
days, have the cleanest town in Geor
gia- ...
The 81st inst. is the filth and last
Sabbath in the month. It will be a
• day of big meetings in various parts
of the county.
Mr. John Gordon and wife, of
Philadelphia, are ntuong the visitors
from a distance, in the city. They
a™ at the Gulf,
Who will take hold of the scheme
to ereot a cotton factory in Thomas-
ville? The Lord helps those who
help themselves.
Mi. T. O Michell was pleasantly
impressed with the future of Cirabelle,
during his recent short stay in that
new town on the Gulf.
Mr. Tom Mitchell says it is as good
as a circus to take a trip off with
Dr. Jim Culpepper. The Dr. was the
lite ot the party, un the late trip to the
coast.
Don’t lose sight of Messrs. C. H.
Young & Co’s, advertisement. They
are handling the handsomest stock of
clothing and gents’ furnishing goods
ever seen in the town.
The large number of orders for job
work received from distant towns at
the Times-Enterprise job office is
evidence of the fact that we are the
leaders in that line in this section.
We ask the farmers of the county
to compare Thomasville cotton prices
with the prices paid at other places.
Thomaville is able to pay os much for
cotton as any other place,^nd she is
going to do it. Bear this in mind.
What do you think of the propo
sition to erect a cotton factory ? Unit
ed action would ineurc it beyond
doubt. Then why uot have united
action in a matter which wilL have
such an important bearing on the fu
ture of the town.
We have been requested by Inspec
tor Pinson to say to all parties who
may know of any nuisance in the
town,'’anything which would affect
the health of the place, that they re
port it to him. Parties names will
not be used or made known, but the
nuisance will be promptly removed.
We hope Mr. Pinson’s request will be
complied with.
Carelessness.
Monticello missed her Savannah and
northern mail Tuesday, by what would
seem to the on lookers, carelessness on
the part of the mail agent on No. 7.
After the Savannah train had stop
ped here for dinner, and certainly ev
ery opportunity for transferring the
mail was had, as the Monticello
train was on the opposite track from
the mail car of No. 7, and had pulled
out some distance, when the mail
agent, who neglected to transfer the
mail in time, threw the bags out on
the ground where they lay in the
rain for some time after the Monticel
lo train lind pulled out, when the
matter was reported to the agent here,
who had the mail picked up, and
wired to Savannah the circumstan*
ces.
Thomasville Capitol Interested.
A strong company has been organ-*
ized in Rcidsvillc to build a railroad
from that town to the fifty-eight mile
post, on the Savannah and Western
railroad. The road will be an air
line, and the woik of grading will be
gin at an early day. Reidsville has
donated 87,000 to the enterprise. The
company is composed of H. J. McGee
and C. W. Brazell, of Reidaville; R.

Up Withthe Lark.
Riding and driving early in the
morning is n favorite and healthful
amusement with Thomosvillians.
Even the children have caught the in
fection, and are up With the lark for a
morning's spin on their Shetlands, or
in their cute little pony carriages. A
turn around the suburbs, or out to the
boulevard, enjoying the fresh morn
ing air, and they invariably return
with an appetite for breakfast.

Dear Sirh: About three years ago I was
taken with liver and kidney disease, the
doctors treated me with only temporary re
lief, they give mo up to die, saying that
there was no medicine known to them that
would do me any good. From three to five
months at a time I was confined to my bed,
notable to get up when down. During try
sickness I was taken with Diabetes ns much
as one gallon of water would pns3 from me
during the night. I fell off until I wns noth
ing but a skeleton. Last march I left
Thomasville, On., my home, on my bed, the
doctors saying that I could not possibly live
to get to Columbus, Ga. When I arrived in
Columbus, I commenced to tako W. W. C.,
I have taken six bottles up to this date, I am
now able to attend totnywork. Up j# the
time I commenced to take W. W. C-, I had
not done a days work lor 2 years. 1 have put
tn five days work this week. During this
time I have taken no other medicine but
W. W. C. I was also covered with seres
from the crown of my head tothcsoleof my
feet, suffered with a pain directly over my
heart for three years that no medicine would
relieve. After taking the first two bottles of
W. W. C., the pain was entirely removed
nnd I liavo not felt a symptom of it since. I
was treated, during' my sickness, by Drs.
Deklc, Ramsey nnd Druce, of Thomasville,
Ga.. who can testify to my condition. 1
cheerfully recommend it to nil who sutler
with liver and kidney troubles, to give W.
W.C.( Wooldridge’s Wonderful Cure) ntrinl,
ns it 1ms saved my life.
Yours truly,

How I Was Cured of So-Called Cancer.
Lulato.v, Ga.
Dear Sir—This is to certify tha. I was a
sufferer with a place on my under lip for
fourteen years, and was under treatment of
different physicians, but they done me no
good. I had lost hope of being cured by
medical treatment. I then went to a doctor
living in Florida, who treated them by art.
After going to him it got well, apparently,
for awhile, but returned ns bad as ever, I
then concluded to try P. P. P. (Prickly Ash,
Poke Root and Potassium), and after taking
five bottles (pint size) was cared. I also
find it a good medicine to give n good appe
tite, end to give proper digestion.
