About a Railroad Change.
The Globe, of Bainbrldge, thus al
ludes to a rutr.or that the Alabama
.i.v... 7 05 am Midland wop’id run cars through to
Thomasvil) c:
“All sovts of rumors have been cur
rent in Bainbridgc recently concern
ing thf; Alabama Midland’s change of
base, from this place to Thomasville,
hut we have not heard or seen any
thi.ng to confirm them, or to cause
Pjainbridge any great uneasiness. The
latest rumor is that the engineers of
the Midland have been notified to run
through to Thomasviilo without
change after the 9th. Ail this might
be true, but we don’t believe it. How
ever, we must be on the lookout. We
cannot afford to sit still aud let what
we have been working for so ynany
years slip from our fingers. The peo
ple of Bainbridgo have put out their
money and time in order to bring the
Alabama Midland through, and should
be recognizf.d and treated fairly, and
we believe tho railroad officials will
treat her fairly.
“Wo know that Thomasville wants
the Midland, and everything else, so
far us that is concerned, and especial
ly Bainbridge. She has claimed the
earth years ago, and now wants Bain*
bridge to fence it in for her.
“We admire Thomasville and would
like to sea her get the world’s fair, but
Bainbrldge want3 the Midland.
“But the Savannah News correspond
ent says “the advantages of the Ala
bama Midland road to Thomasville
are beginning to be felt. Among oth
er things it will be known as tho
Thomasville route. Tickets to Thom-
asvilel will be put on sale at every
point of any consequence throughout
the great, west, where thousands of
dollars will be spent annually adver
tising the route. Thomasville has
spent a good large sum of money in
advertising and is still making outlays
for that purpose, but the Thomasville
route will give Thomasville more free
advertising every year than it has had
throughout its whole history.”
“Free advertising! Why, of couisc!
At the expense of the citizens of Bain
bridgo and those who have put their
money in this mad. She is not satis
fied with the ‘ free advertising” she
derives from the Midland, but she
goes to work to bring about a deal for
the terminus.”
A pair of Scotch bag pipes, distend

“Don’t Give up the Ship!”
Don’t surrender, although the fight bo
long and bitter, and results thus far but dis
mal failures. Old Bad Blood may yet be
conquered and disease driven from the cita
del of life. You have not used the
proper remedy, or long ago you would have
felt a change. You have tried this and that,
a hundred bottles of this specific and fifty bot-
bot of that earsaparilla, and feci you might
as'well have used so much rain water for all
the good effect they had. Why have you
not tried B. B. B.| (Botanic Blood Balm)
made in Atlanta, Ca. ? Because it isn’t ad
vertised so conspicuously as other remedies ?
Well, that’s a poor reason. The greatest
humbugs can afford the largest advertise
ments. As for B. # B. B* try it, and if six
bottles don’t do you more good than all the
othor blood medicine you have ever taken,
call it a humburg, a name that has never
yet been applied to it by any one.
Walter Bridges, Athens, Tenn., writes
“For six years I had been afllicted with run
ning sores and an enlargement of the bone
in my leg. I tried everything I heard of
without any permanent benefit until Bota
nic Blood Balm was recommended to me.
After using six bpttles the sores healed, and
I am now In better health than I have ever
been. I send this testimonial unsolicited,
because I want others to be benefitted.”
