A Beautiful Hymn.
The Atlanta Journal .-ays :
A strange error crept into The
Journal yesterday, the statement
was made that Bishop lteckwith
disliked to have the hymn, "I Would
Not 1 live Aiway,” sung at funerals.
It was jn-t the reverse. The hymn
was one of lus favorites. We learn
Irom I)r. K. S. Barrett that on two
occasions when lie olliciatcd at funeral
services with Bishop Beckwith the
bishop requested the singing of “I
Would Not Live Aiway.” This
beautiful hymn was sung at the bish
op’s funeral at the request of his fam
ily.
