Mr. U.H. Sanford, who was thrown
from h>s road ca r t some ten days ago
and very pamfu’ly hurt, is a convlcs-
cing. He is still confined to his bed,

and we hopo to see him out and fully
recovered in time to head the proces
sion on the 1st pres.
Mrs. Williams, of Chattanooga,
Tcnn., and daughter, Mrs. Quillen, of
Atlanta, are spending sometime with
Dr. and Mrs. H. C. Ramsey, on Daw
son street. Mrs Wil’iams was for
merly a resident of th’\s couuty, hav
ing moved hero from At'anta during
tho war, and lived near tho old John
Hurst place, about eight mi’es from
town. She has not becu hero since
tho close of tho war. Thomasviilc
and Thomas county has changed
wonderfully siaco then, and Mc
Williams has dcubtlc-'s noticed many
improvements in and about the place.
