An old Church Burned.
New Yonk, Dec. 17—The -old
Christ Kpiscopal church, Thirty-sixth
street and Fifth avenue, was burned
this evening. Loss on church $50,-
000. The church was vacated years
ago. Recently, Benily’s $50,000
painting. “ I'he Idea! Head of the
Christ,” was put on exhibition in
church and it was destroyed in 10-
night’s fire.
