Thomasville, Oa„ Nov. II. 1922
te Hon. P '
f Thomas
Gentlemen:—
Knowing that there la a report be
ing circulated throughout the county
regarding jny connection with the
working organisation
forced to haul labor to and from the
work each week. This expense was
not participated In by the county.
At most every camp site I have had
to pay high stable and lot rent. I
started work tor the County with 12
good males, but the work required of,
them was so hard, they soon became
houses or anything else, and any
port contrary to this Is false and
true.
In my connection with the County
Road work I have endeavored to give
oughly familiar with my activities.
My teams have not been the only
ones employed on this work. Teams
belonging to Adam Arnold, L. L. Sin
gletary and T. J. pfiester have also
$150.00 difference each time.
Taking Into consideration the auto
mobile expense of hauling labor to'
and from work, buying and keeping
up the harnest, paying stable rent
and co tor bill for mules there has
been very little profit for me.
The most of the work done has been
the placing of clay fills, consisting of
a long overhaul, clearing and grub-
Mag borrow pita, ditching roads, cut
ting bushes and shade trees and In
addition to the above named work I
bate moved 42,091 cu. yards, dirt at
