WOMEN WARNED AGAINST
DYE IN CHEAP FURS
London, Nov. 3. (By Mail) A
warning has been issued by the Lon.
don health institutions to women to
guard against wearing cheap furs,
quantities of which recently have
been brought into England. I
Many Women who have purchased
such furs have found themselves
suddenly afflicted with a skin rash
about the chin and neck. The dis
ease is similar to that which appear,
ed Berlin in 1903 and last year in
Copenhagen, and which was traced
to the dye used on furs.

Atlanta, Dec. 8—Thursday’s sess
ions of the Georgia Baptist conven
tion brought to the convention many
interesting features. The day began
with a burst of enthusiasm in the
discussion of the report on temper
ance and social service. This report
was read by Lewis A. Henderson of
Columbus, and in hia report he advo
cated the appointment of the Judges
rather than their selection by popular
vote. He was opposed by Re/. Josiah
Crudup of Dalton, who expressed his
willingness to let the people continue
to elect their judges.' An amendment
carried by a very close margin
dropping the clause which referred
to the appointment of the judges.
Dr. L. G. Hardman, made an im
passioned appeal to the convention
to give support to the enforcement of
the prohibition law, and hie addreaa
is seconded by many hearty amens.
The report on the Christian Index
was read by the chairman of the com
