a willow tree.

First in the little limpid pool,
they listen to the Butterfly’s ad
vice to the ambitious lily: “be
content,’’ then down the Brook
they flow “merrily, cheerily,” uh-

Falls where it is “rought and dark”
hut “cool, oh, cool.” *■
They go down the sluggish, alow
mourning river, hearing the son;; of
tlie rowers, then “leaping and fall
ing” they Rhoot over tho “great
waterfall” and at last,from tho top
of a wave on the ocean vast, they
arc drawn up by the sun to tho
soft clouds above, to be wafted
back to their lovely home, high
on tho mountain side.
