At the blue Drug Store.
Mr. J. D. Ransom of Richwood
was in town Thursday with both
hands in a sling. A few days be
fore he had been at work upon the
machinery in the mills there and
had just started to take off a saw
to do some work on it when the
machinery started up without any
warning to him and the saw cut
off the ends of his two middle fin
gers on each hand. It is a seri
ous and painful wound and will
prevent his doing any work for a
long time.
We take especial pleasure in
calling attention to the advertise
ment of the Blue Drug Store,
contained in this issue. Its man
ager has an eye upon the market
at all times and whenever he
finds good fresh stock that can be
bought cheap he buys. And when
bought he gives his customers the
benefit of whatever “cuts” he may-
have received.
The Blue Drug Store is a fixture
and enjoying a good trade:
Mr. J. R. Gantt representing,
the Gantt Cotton Planter, Gin and
Machine works, of Macon, Ga., is
circulating among the farmers of
Dooly fora few days, soliciting or
ders for new Gins and the repair
ing of old ones. Mr. Gantt is will
known to the trade of Dooly as a
genial, clever gentleman full of
push and vim, and the Gins hand
led by these gentlemen need no
introduction to cotton planters,
for they all recognize their superi
ority-. Parties desiring to purchase
a new gin and outfit, or to have
their old ones repaired for the com
ing season would find it to their
interest to see or correspond with
Mr. Gantt before placing their or
ders. .

Mr. W. E. Smith is building a

accounts will soon cage his bird.
