He Was Lost, But is Found Again.
Wo have received (lie following
description of a gentleman, who was
purported to have been lost : “A tall
slant complexioned gentleman; live
feet six inches of age; twenty-seven
years in height; pink hair; green
eyes, mause eyebrows. He had on
when last seen, a pair of swallow
tailed trowsers with sausage striped
sleeves, fashionable mutton-cutlet
waistcoat with cast iron trimmings
and knitted mahogany legs,a double
barrelled frock coat with tripe collar
and tobacco linings, adorned with
three flounces ; water-tight canvas
boots, with porcelain tops, laced up
at the sides; match-box hat, low
crowned, trimmed square around
the edgo with the nap; a pair of
green and white stockings, with po
tato heels and sides; a tartarian neck
tie, rather down at the heel and
broad of relief, tied with a true lov
er’s khot around his massive fore
head ; a shirt of cabbage cloth with
rat-tail buttons up behind his stom
ach ; cast steel honiton lace gloves
with air tight ventilators at the
joints, and magnificent cheese-head
ed, plum pudding walking cane with
initials “N. G.” in castor oil letters.
This singular geutlemau was born
after bis younger brother, his mother
being absent on both occasions.
The missing gent has been seen
again at H. J. Galt’s Imperial bar
and billiard saloon. He was busily
engaged in punching the ivory,
while occasionally he would wink at
the inimitable Will Maffitt,and call
for one of his fancy mixed drinks, in
which Will is not excelled by any.
This gentleman was also surprised to
find that Henry Galt kept snch good
whiskies, brandies, wines, beer, ci
gars, etc., and coulu sell them so
cheap. He was so enrapt in the quiet
manner with which the business
is carried on, be had forgotten to let
his friends know his whereabouts.
