of his new store. Work on the building
will begin in a few days.
According to rumor Brinson is to have
a wedding in the very near future, or at
least the matter has gained circulation
hereabouts. We shall report tho affair
mere fully after it has materialised.
A delightful basket supper will be giv
en at the public school house this even
ing for the purposo of raising funds for
supplying benches for^the school. It is
hoped that the affair will receive the
support of the community,

We regret to learn of the death of
Mrs. James Yqates who breathed her
last on Saturday night, after suffering
two or three years from consumption
Her remains wero interred iu the ceme
tery at Pilgrim’s Rost Monday. The be
reaved relatives have the heartfelt sym
pathies of the community.

First Ward or Fire District op

Be it ordained by the Mayor and A1
dermen of the City of Bainbridge in
Council assembled, and it is hereby or
dained by authority of the same:
See. I That from and after the first
day of May, 1901, it shall be unlawful fo
the owner or occjpaut ot any property
in the first ward «r. fire District of tbe
City of Baitibridge, to keep, use. or main
tain a surface closet, urinal, or place t<
dump waste watei or sewage.
Sec. 11. Be it further Ordained, that
the owners or occupants of property in
said first ward, or fire limit, be required
to tear down, lemove or destroy auy
surface closet, urinal, or place to dump
waste water or sewage, that the\
may now have, use or occupy*; unless the
same be properly connected to and witb
the sewer mains of said .City, by the first
day of May 1901.
Sec. HI. Be it further Ordained, that
in tbe event any owner or occupant oi
property in said first w.rd or fire limit
s-hall fail or refuse to remove such closet
urinal, or place to dump waste water by
the first day of May 1901, that tbe Mar
shal of said City shall have the same re
moved at the cost of suoh owner or ooou
