Mr. Motes Patton, of Iron City, was in
towu Tuesday night on business.
Mr. Ira L. Jackson, of Miller county,
was in the city Thursday of this week.
Post, Muster Jno B Crawtord of Cairo,
passed though the city eu route to visit
relatives on Chattahoochee river.
Mr. A. (I. Perry, of Iron City, was in
the city. Wednesday and renewed his
subscription to the Search Light.
Miss Daisy Griffith, of Bain bridge, is
a visitor to the city and is a guest ot
Mrs. Arthur Passmore.— Valdosta
Times.
Mr. Bartow Williams of Steam Mill
and one of tho very best citixeus of the
county, was iu the city one or two days
this week.
Miss Minnie Otlinger and tyrnOt-tinger
of Q linoy Fla, passed through this city
Tuesday eu route to Atlanta tia., where
they will spend several weeks. Miss Ot-
ringer is one of Quincy’s fairest young
ladies and is quite popular anting her
many friends in Bainbridge.

Mr. ilomer Williams of Waycroas
spent .Sunday in Brinson.
Mr. E. A. J. Kioh of the Bethel church
neighborhood was in town one day this
week.
Little Miss Eta Brinson left Sunday
for Dotialsouville where Rlie will attend
school.
Mr. K. B. Webster our clever depot
agent is the proud father of a fine 10*
pound girl.
Mr. Frank Richardson who has been
quite sick has so far recovered as to be
tide to he out.
Work on the new Baptist Chinch has
been begun, the framing is up and the
work will be pushed as rapidly as posal-
sihle.
The bridge crew of the Plant System
are camped at this place doing some
trestle work on the bridge across Spring
Creek.
Mesrs Cleveland Warren and .Guy
McCulley have gone to Harnsville where
they will ntteml school for the oouiiug
tension,
Mr. and Mrs. J.. D. Talbert, lost oue
of their little children one day last week.
The sympathies of the community are
with them.
Dr. U. L. L. B.idges was called to
Cuthbert last Saturday to attend the
bedside of bis mother, who was sick. He
returned Tuesday.
The dedication of the new Methodist
church which was postponed some time
ago on account of trouble iu securing
the seats, will be held on the 6th Sun
day in this month.
Mr. and Mrs, W. H. Uichardson have
the sympathies of tho neighborhood tn
t he loss of their little girl, which occur-

county, to be erected In the city of Ilalu-
bridgii, Decatur county, Georgia,
The oxtei-lor measurement of said build
ing will be 134 x flHfeot. It will be two stories

of. The building to be of repressed brick
and stone finished with marble and terra
ootta trimming, slate roof. There are to he

incorporation is to be THE FLINT RIV
ER A: GULF RAILWAY COMPANY,
the name not being, the name of any
railroad corporation in the stateof Geor
gia.
3rd. The length of said road, as near
as can be estimated, will bo about ninety
miles.
4th, Said Railroad will run from Ash-
burn, Ga., in a south-westerly direction,
through poitiouS of the counties of
Worth, Colquitt, Mitchell and Decatur to
the City of Bainbridge, Ga., through the
towns of Sylvester and Camilla.
5th, Tho amount of the proposed cap
ital stock is TWO HUNDRED THOUS
AND DOLLARS, in shares of one hun
dred dollars each, with privilege of in
creasing tn five hundred thousand dol
lars all of said stock to be common stock
of equal dignity.
Otn, Petitioners desire to be incorpor
ated as aforesaid for and during the term
of one hundred years.
7th, The principal office of said copor-
ation will be iu ASHBURN. GEORGIA.
8th, Petitioners do intend, in good
faith, to go forward without delay to se
cure subscriptions to the Capital Stock,
construct, equip, maintain and operate
said Railroad.

given four weeks notice of their inten
tion to apply for a Charter by publica
tion according to law,
