Will Run For Sheriff.
Mr. Farman Dollar of the Blow
ing Cave district was in the city
the first of the week attending
court, and while here gave out the
statement that he would be a can
didate for sheriff before the next
primary of the county This an»
nouncement makes still further
complications as to who may be'
come the next sheriff of the coun'
ty. Mr. Fordham, the present en
cumbent will be a candidate for re-
election and it appears reasonably
certain that A. P. Long, M. C. Ste
gall and E. S. Perry will also be
candidates. It has also been ru-
mored that R. J. Rooney and oth
ers may enter the contest.
Mr. Dollar thinks that he has
excellent chances for election, and
announces that he is in the race
to a finish. With the other men-
tioned ones it is at least evident
that the office of sheriff will not
go begging in Dec|it
South Georgia Methodist Conference.

of the Methodist church will meet
in Sandersville on the 28th of this
month. This is the third time

the conference and though a small
town the former conventions were

year the conference met at Thom'
asvilleand quite a number of our
citizens attended and it is expected
that Bainbridge will be fairly rep'
resented this year. It is under
stood that there will be severa Im
portant changes made, especially
in theThomasville District
Rev. J. T. Ryder will leave next
week and unless he is reappointed
to this charge will preach his last
sermon before a Bainbridge audi-
ence next Sunday. It has been
suggested that Bainbridge should
make a bid to have the conference
meet here next year and the plan
