Two Good Citizens Gone.
Last week Winder lost two of her
good citizens in the moving of Messrs.
D. Y. and F. M. Hooges to Loganville.
Mr. D Y, Hodges has been one of the
leading business men of our little city
for 12 years or more, aud was, until
January Ist, one of the firm of Hodges,
Oamp, Arnold & Cos., one of our large
mercantile houses. He was a safe and
conservative business man and has the
reputation of being the best cotton man
in this section of the state. Mr. F. M.
Hodges had been a citizen of Winder
for three years and had made many
friends here. We regret their leaving
very mnch, as they will she greatly
missed.
Mr. D. Y. Hodges had considerable
property interests at Loganville and
thonght best to move there and open up

point, surrounded as it is by as fine a
farming section as tin.ro is in the state,

this article than all other Carminatives,
soothing syrups and colic drops com

no equal.
Back From Texas,

Hill, has returned to his old home sat

days on Georgia soil. He was not favor
ably enough inpressed with Texas to
remain and thinks Georgia a better
state in which to live. He does not
quite agree with the Texas orator, who
in a burst of eloquence said that, the
Ljuo Scar state was a hogshead of mo
lasses with a great bitter flitter in tt e
middle. We are glad to have Mr Page

The readers of this paper will be
pleased to learn that there is at least
one drerdsd disease that science has
been able to cure in all its stages, and
that is Catarrh. Hall’ Catarrh Cure is
the only positive cure known to the
medical fraternity. Catarrh being a
constitutional disease, requires a con
stitutional treatment. Hall’s Catarrh
Cure is taken internally, acting directly
upon the blood and muceus surfaces of
the system, thereby destroying the
foundation of the disause, and giving
the patient strength by building up the
constitution and assisting nature in do
ing its work. The proprietors have so
much faith in its curative powers, that
they offer One Hundred Dollars for any
case that it fails to cure. Send for list
