To The Citizens o Winder
I notice that a mass meeting of the
citizens has besn called by the mayor
for next Tuesday to put out a ticket for
mayor and council. Ic is amusing t.o
one who remembers the past, to see the
notice. In 1895 a meeting of the same
kind was called and the present mayor,
who now makes this call and some who
with him now favor a mass meeting op
posed it bitterly then and did all in
their power to keep every one out, and
after the meeting nominated a ticket of
good men the present mayor and some of
those who now favor a mass meeting
bolted and ran an opposition tiket. We
fail to see their consistancy. A tiket of
good and representative men has al
ready been placed in the field and en
dorsed by the people generally and will
be elected by a large mrjority. We
tried a mass meeting once and some of
the main parties now favoring one are
the very ones who would not support
the candidates put out at that meeting
oecause they oould not have it their way.
A Large majority of the voters are sat
isfied with the ticket already ont and
will have nothing to do with a meeting
the object of which is to put out anoth
er - Respectly,
Citizen.

QUESTION ANSWERED.
Yes, August Flower still has the
largest sale of any medicine in the civ
ilized world, Your mothers’ and grand
mothers’ never thought of using any
thing else for Indigestion or Bilionsness.
Doctors were scarce, and they seldom
heard of Appendicitis, Nervous Prostra
tion or Heart failure, etc. They used
August Flower to clean out the system
and stop fermentation of undigested
food, regulate the action of the liver,
stimulate the nervous and organic ac
tion of the system, and that is all they
took when feeling dull and b<*d with
headaches and other aches. You only
need a few doses of Green’s August
Flower, in liquid form, to make you sat
isfied there is nothing serious the mat.

wife has been so helpless for five years
that she conld not turn over in bed
alone. After using two bottles of Eleo

DOES IT PAY TO BUY CHEAP?
A cheap remedy for coughs and colds
is all right, but you want something

lung troubles. What shall you do? Go
to a warmer and more regular climate?
Yes, if possiple; if not posible for you,

An Uneven Swap.
Mr. Mack Lynch, of near Jefferson,
went up to Habbersham county last
week aud carried a Mr. Stover of this
county with him. They spent the
night with an uncle of Btover’s and
next morning when Mr. Lynch went
out to the stable, he found his fine young
mule he had driven gone and an old
rip of a horse worth a couple of dollars
in the sta’ 1 instead of his mule. It is a
great mystery to Mack that he has not
up to date unraveled as he has not yet
found his mule or the party who made
the exchange. He considers it an un
even swap and is anxious to find the
whereabouts of the guilty party.
