Mrs. Marvin Maynard was called

to her home at Norcross after spend

Local talent is preparing t> gi\e
a play in the near future in the in
terest of the Winder Band. This
should prove a drawing card, for
there is no set of men in town
more popular then the men who
toot their horns for Winder.
Miss Birdie Sigman, one of the
leading contestants in the News
contest and daughter of Mr. W. W.
Sigman, while out riding and so
liciting subscriptions for the News
Tuesday afternoon, her horse fell
horse fell and hurt itself. This
however, did not prevent her from
sending in a large number of sub
scriptions this week.
