Pet of The Week
By Ben Parrish
If variety is the spice of
life, then the James Gilbert
family of Jackson must have
a spicy life. They have three
dogs, each one a different
breed.
Charlie is a nine-month-old
Dachshund that barks at
anything that moves. He
especially likes to curl up on
the couch and sleep. Recent
ly, however, Charlie got
behind the dryer and his back
rubbed up against a hot pipe.

Bambi, a one-and-a-half

troublemaker of the group.
She has torn sheets off

Jo-Jo is a ten-month-old
Chihuahua and is considered
to be the “baby” of the
family. J.-Jo’s favorite pas
time seems to be finding old
shoes and chewing them up.
He also likes to grab things,

When it comes to eating,
Charlie and Bambi will eat
almost anything, while Jo-Jo
is somewhat picky. The one
thing all three dogs agree on
is candy.

Many persons suffer from
some form of dandruff. This
common, and annoying con
dition. is an inflammation of
the scalp. There are two
distinct types of dandruff,
and the other is oily dandruff.
Both are the excessive
production of oil by the oil
glands.
If the oil secretion evapo
rates quickly, a condition
known as dry dandruff
results. Oily dandruff is the
result of the oil staying on the
scalp and in the hair,causing
greasy hair. Scaling of the
scalp is common to both
types of dandruff and is a
warning signal to begin
treatment.
We have a number of
preparations which are de

A. Since you have at least
10 years coverage, you’re
insured for life for social
security retirement. Medi

survivors benefits. However,
the benefit amount you or
your family might get will
gradually decrease in future

You will be insured for social

A. When you contact your
social security office the
people there will take an
application and determine if
you are eligible for disability
benefits on your own work
record or on your husband’s.
A disabled widow may
qualify for disability benefits
as early as age 50 if she
becomes disabled within 7
years after the death of her
husband. Generally you must
be severely disabled and not
be expected to be able to
work for a year or more.
