LEITER TO FIELDING & OENTGN.
Douglas, Georgia.
■
Dear Sirs: You # know dia
monds don’t go by size. So with
paint.
We make paint, one gallon of
which i- oes as far as two of
another and lasts twice as long: j
chat’s four to one.
You know it is true in diamonds;
they don’t go by the gallon? do
they ?
If you’re going to paint your
house, you go first to your paint
er and say: “I’m going to paint;
do you want the job ?and what’ll
it cost ?”
If he happens to know, he’ll
say: “Depends on the paint. I
can do it lor somewhere about
:!?100 or S2OO, whichever you like;
SIOO will make a good job; S2OO a
t >oor one.”
„ . And you, if you happen to have
!our wits, ‘ll say: I’ll take the
good one, when’ll you do it ?”
Painters ought, all, to know
about paint; and jewelers ou* ht
to be able to get a good job. We
do what we can to help both.
One gallon Devoe is better
than two of average paint, gets
as far—that is, your house will
take about 20 gallons Devoe and
40 of avetage pa no- and Devoe
will wear a long time; the life of
average paint is very uncertain,
it may be a year, it may be fiva.
Why is it Li.at pa.iite/s v.on’t
know about paint ? 1 o jewelers |
know about uianonds? Ti ey
know more than they tell some- j
| times. There are painters and
painters; so there are jewelers;
so there are paint, and the least
gallons paint is Devoe.
Yours truly,
F. W, Devoe & Co.,

We Congratulate Fitzgerald. -
Fitzgerald has succeed a in
®Dcuring the i:<\vv comity it has
lot and we
this is a large town and
Mr has been quite inconvenient
for the people to go over to Irwin
ville to attend to their legal bus
iness.
We also congratulate our sister
city on the great tight it has
made against whiskey, la.ing
succeeded in having passed a law
that puts it out of the town.
Both of these measures will be
, of incalculable value to the town,
mnut we consider the latter of
/much more importance, and the
/town will now take on, as it were
/ ;t second moral growth, and pro
f eeed to make the town that was
originally intended that it should
make.
lion. B. E. Wilcox should re
ceive the praise and commenda
tion that he deserves in the great
fight he has made to bring these
two important things to pass in
behalf of his town and county. !
The Douglas Enterprise started
after Fitzgerald booze about four
months ago and this shows what
the Enterprise can do, with the
right kind of support. Moral,
support and stand by the Enter
prise.
Keep the Public Roads Clear.
The rural mail carriers are re
<*u red to make reports on the
conditions of the roads that they
have to traverse in delivering the
mail and unless they are kept
tear of trees and in good shape
some of the routes are liable to
be discontinued at any time.
The mail facilities in Coffee
county are getting to be good
and we not only do not want to
loose any but we want more.

ily local applications, as they can
not reach the diseased portion of the
ear. There is only one way to cure
deafness, and that is by constitutional
remedies. Deafness is caused by an
inflamed condition of the mucous lin
ing of the Eudachain Tube. When
this tube is inflamed you have a rum
bling sound or imperfect hearing, and
when it is entirely closed, deafness is
I the result, and unless the inflamma
tion can be taken out and this tube
restored to its normal condi.ion, hear
ing will be destroyed forever - nine
cases out of ten are caused by Catarrh,
which is nothing but an inflamed con

We will give One Hundred Hollars

catarrh) that cannot be cured by Hall’s
