from a visit to her dalghter in Caddoo,

Messrs. O. F. Deen and Herbert Mc-

Mrs. R. C. Relihan and little daugh
ter are spending some time in Augusta
with relatives.
A number of ladies met with Mrs.
J. M. Hall last Saturday for the pur
pose of organizing a D. A. R. Chapter
which arrangments will be completed

Mrs. J. M. Hall spent several days
in Dublin this week in attendance at
the U. D. C. convention.
Mrs. G. M. Stanton is spending
awhile in Chattanooga with her sister,
Miss Nell Rutherford.
Mrs. B. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs.
Oliver Peterson spent a few days in
Atlanta this week at the fair.
Rev. R. M. Mann, of • Fitzgerald,
stopped over in Douglas Friday on his
way to Presbytery at Swainsboro.
Mrs. F. T. Currie and family have
moved back to Douglas from Broxton
and are residing on McDonald street.

bett, B. W. Gray and W. I. Christian,
spent Tuesday in Fitzgerald, going
over in Mrs. Lott’s car.
Mr. R. N. McEacheim and family
have moved into their new home on
Sellers street, where Mr. Ross former
ly lived. It was remodeled and is now
one of the prettiest homes in the city.
Little Marshall Ashley continues
quite ill of diphteria and pneumonia
though showing some improvement to
day. Dr. Mulkerin, of Augusta, and
Dr. J. M. Smith, of Valdosta, are the
physicians called in consultation with
Drs. Burns, Roberts and Whelchel.
Miss Dickens, the celebrated Har
mony goods demonstrator, will be in
Douglas at the Union Pharmacy for
one week beginning Oct. 30. While
here she will call on several ladies by
appointment.
Dr. C. W. Roberts leaves to-day for
Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York
where he expects to spend a few days,
and maybe longer, at several well
known hospitals, getting new ideas,
and do post graduate work. He may
return in ten days but will go back
and complete the course this winter.

a matinee party with refreshments
afterwards.
