Died
At Broxton on last Sunday morn
ing, Pearl, the 13 year old daughter
of Mr. and Mrs W. D. Little. Three
days before her death she was a pict
ure of blooming youth and beauty,
but that dread malady, pneumonia,
seized her tender form and preyed
upon it with rapid greed until she
laid aside her mortality and lied away
with the angels.
Pearl was a Christian girl with con
science void of offense, and her purity
of mind and soul, the affection of her
heart, and the sweetness of her dispo
sition made her a jewel of great preie.
Everybody loved her, and the Broxton
people will miss her in the years to
come.
The Broeze offers its sympathies to
the bereaved.
A Little Girl Burned.
About two weeks ago little Gussie,
the four year old daughter of Mr. Fred
Ricketson who lives near Pearson,
was standing near a burning log heap
when her clothes caught fire, and be
fore any one could get to her she was
burned so badly that it was evident
she could not live. After a season of |
intense suffering and a hard struggle
for life, the dear little girl gave up the
strife and passed away into the beyond.
The grief stricken parents have our
profoundest spmpatliy in their sore
bereavement.

the third Sunday in April, but owing

earlier, and President Roberta lias
called the county convention to meet
in Douglas on April 10, the day be
fore the district convention which
meets here the 11 and 12.
Mr. Roberts urges that the Sunday
Schools of the county send in their
reports so that everything may be in
readiness for the district convention.
In this is.- ue appear the announce
ments of Judge Ward for the Senate
and Jeff Kirkland for the House.
These two gentlemen are among the
