PASS THE FRAUD AROUND.
Since writing "somewhat my last commuui
cation I have enriched
the railroad, by the collection of
f a re from one John R. Rose, who
has perambulated around
cuously to establish that he is a
physician, having graduated from
the American Eclectic Medical
College, of St.- Louis, Missouri,
Everv step that he has taken

on his return Mr. Rose made the
significant remark that he “got
what he went for.” I have
returned myself from Seville,
whereDr. A/B. McRae lives and
who gave me the following facts—
although he had received an intiin
idating letter (which I now
have) written by the said Rose,
threatening prosecution for libel
and suit for slander, against Dr,
McRae as well as myself and oth
ers. I shall lay down the
let and invite his prosecution and
suit for slander: so will Dr.
Rae. Mr. Rose, you think von
are smart, but you are not—not
even a little bit. Dr. McRae said
to me and authorized me to
this statement: In the year 1892
when the said Rose was
medicine around Seville, that he
(Dr. McRae) had a suspicion,with
other physicians in the county,
that the said Rose was not a phy
sician, or a graduate of any medi
cal college at that time.
out that he claimed the American
Eclectic Medical College as
college which issued him liis diplo
ma, I wrote to find out, and the
proper authorities of said college
wrote me back that he was
graduate of that college in
class of 1877 or of the class of anv
other year and to satisfy me
that fact, thev enclosed me
catalogues, which I looked through
carefully, and Rose’s name did
not appear in the list of graduates.
I made the fact known to
physicians, who will bear me out,
and who saw the letter-court
>ng in session at the time Mr. Rose
left between suns

Another fact: Mr. Rose
ed his name in the \ oters book
of 1898 and 1899 as being 39 years
old, and to which fact he made
affidavit. Well now, that has been
22 years ago, and if figures dont
lie, he was seventeen years old
when he graduated. He says
he studied four years previous
to his graduation: so he must have
entered college when he was
teen years of age. Come off, Mr.
Rose! you can’t stuff intelligent
people with such “rot.”
Mr. Rose, what did your certifi
cate cost you? Is Younk.n a high
priced or low priced man? Now,
Mr. Rose, why don’t you come up
and show that little diploma ? You
have got it, and I can prove it by
ten or fifteen gentlemen and by
one lady who had it in her hands,
and it was not marked “dupli
cate” or “copy.” One man said
to me it looked like it had been
written with a stick. I nave seen
it, and it is a pretty document,
Now, Mr. Rose, if you did gradu
ate there, why did you desert your
first love, and why was it necessa
ry for you to goto Atlanta for
three months and get this little
diploma from the Atlanta Medi
cal College, which you have? W r hy
was it necessary, if this other
school was such a high grade school
and required you to study four
years (as you say, Mr. Rose) be
fore they would hand you down a
sheep-skin? I asked before,
Query: As you
where have you been all this time
since vou graduated, and where
have you practiced? It is a won
der to me that those two metrop
olitan cities, Seville and Central
Point, could hold a man of such
towering brain and extraordinary
knowledge of medical science,
which he says took him a number
of years to obtain.
(No, Mr. Rose, I do all of my
dictating and writing myself.)
Still another question, lad: my preco- See if
