Dear Brethren and Friends :
By a combination’of circum
stances over which I had no con
trol, I was prevented from reaching
our quarterly conference on Thurs
day Sept. 14th . It was a great
disappointment to me. as I was very
anxious to meet the good people of
this section of Rubub county.
That I may yet have this privi-
ledge I have so arranged my round
as to preach at Boiling Springs
school house Sunday, 'Oct. 22nd,
and if it suit the people I will
preach a series of services the week
fcllowing. At the close of the
Sunday services with the assistance
of Rev. J, W. Huffhes I will ad
minister the sacrament of the Lord’s
supper, and during the week we
will present the destinctive doc
trines of the Methodist church,
which we believe to be the funda
mental doctrines of the Bible.
With brotherly love for all of cver-
y name or order our desire is tc
point sinners to‘‘The Lutnb of God
which taketh away tho sin of the
world.’’ Our motto is “Let names
and sects and parties fall and Jesus
Christ be all in all. ”
To these [services wc cordially
invite every body, and wc are glad
that we can preach the doctrines
of our church without speaking a
harsh, hard word about those of
other denominations who honestly
differ with us. In the words of
Holy Writ allow me in closing to
say, “Come thou with us, and we
will do thee good.”
