Community Action Agency, Inc.
is now accepting names for our
waiting list. The Weatherization
Assistance Program is offered to
hometown owners & renters to
help reduce the electric and gas
consumption of low-income eligible
applicants while ensuring their
health and safety. Weatherization
is not a home rehabilitation or home
repair program. Weatherization
may be able to provide attic
insulation, floor insulation, replace
space heaters or furnaces, replace
water heaters, air sealing, weather
stripping, threshold and glazing. We
will install an energy conservation
kit that includes compact florescent
light bulbs, smoke alarm, carbon
monoxide detector, shower head,
and faucet aerators. Crawford,

Snap Program Middle Georgia
Community Action Agency, Inc,
is working hard to raise awareness
about food stamps benefits in the
central Georgia community. Many
people have a difficult time making
ends meet, but by helping them
with the grocery bill, food stamps
benefits allow recipients to use their
limited income on other important
basic needs like housing, medical
costs, transportation, and utilities.
We can provide information,
assistance in enrollment, and
help with on-line recertification
in the Snap Program. For more

Roberta McCrary Champion, to be
included in the motif of Champion’s
Cafe, which is housed in the former
home of ’’Miss Roberta,” for whom
the town was named. Photos
(especially of herfirst grade classes
or Sunday school classes) will be

Call For Coaches!!!: Are you a
dedicated individual with the want
to build a great football program in
Crawford County? The Crawford
County Recreation Department
is looking for dedicated coaches
to help build the future of football
through the recreational football
program. All potential coaches will
be required to attend a camp in
May and will be certified in June by
the Flint River Football League. The
future of Crawford County Football

Break out the club and let’s
go swinging. On Friday, June
21, 2013, the Crawford County
High School Touchdown Club
will be hosting its first annual golf
tournament. The tournament will
be held at the Forsyth Golf Club
in Forsyth, GA. The tournament
is a four-man scramble and the
entry fee is $200 per team. Cash
prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd,
10th, and last place teams. Lunch
and opportunities to win door
prizes will be provided for each
golfer. Money raised will be used
as designated by the Touchdown
Club to strengthen and rebuild
the Eagles Football program by
purchasing needed equipment
and supplies for the CCHS football
team. The deadline to register
your team for the tournament is
Friday, June 7th and the deadline
to pay your team’s registration will
be the day of the tournament. For

for the upcoming season will begin
at 8 a.m. The camp will take place
9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the high school
football field. CCHS will be selling
BBQ plates and will have a car
wash. This camp is given by the
high school coaches and recreation
coaches.

Fire Department 2nd Chance
Prom
The Crawford County Fire
Department will present a Seond
Chance Prom! All proceeds to the
Prom theme, Stairway To Heaven
will go toward the many needs of
the Volunteer Fire Department in
Crawford County. The Prom night
is Saturday, June 29,2013 at Camp
Grace. The cost is $20 per person
or $25 per couple. All monies
raised will go to new equipment for
the Fire Department. Contact Chief

It is a great night to dress in
the finery of choice and tux and
formals if you like...a King and
Queen will be announced. Missed
your prom ...this is time to make it
up and have fun while supporting
the Volunteers who do so much in
