changes in our quiet town this week.
The firm of \V. J. Sessions <& Co.,
have dissolved, Mr. Sessions retiring,
The stock of merchandise is boxed
and shipped to another town. The
many friends of Mr. Scssiorns regret
his departure.
Mrs. Laura Levcrette lias moved
to tlie Cecil House, where she will be
much better able to care for her
boarders, and to fowl and warm the
commercial traveler in his weary
wanderings in search of trade.
Mr. G. W. (Stephens, one of
LbWhdes comity's best farmers, fell
from his hay loft the last of October
and broke his thigh, from which he
has kept his bed ever since. I learn
lie is recovering.
The curtain will rise to-morrw at
Mr.John ./.Roberts in upper Lowndes,
that select friends may witness the
nuptials of his lovely daughter, Miss
Annie, to Hon, 1). A. Lawson, of
Hahira. Mr, Lawson is one of the
prominent men of our sister town,
and Miss Roberts is one of the most
amiable young ladies of Lowndes,

count of sickness your correspondent
lias been delinquent the last month.
A ctisd of “Grip" complicated with
pleurisy, has been the cause of our
indisposition. Wo hope to he more
punctual in the future.
The dry kiln, full of lumber, was
burned last week. 'J’ho loss was
about one thousand dollars and was
at present the property of J. A.
I’npot.
The brick store occupied by J. K.
Wilkes, general merchandise, was
burglarized last week and nibbed of
about one hundred dollars worth of
goods. This is the fifth time Ouch
robberies have occurred. The large
glass windows fronting the streets
arc broken open and entrances lire
thus made, xvliilo the goods aru car

impossible for our marshals to catch
up with the thief lint he will grow
braver and braver until he is cap

to run the guilty parlies down.

Your correspondent wishes them all
a happy and prosperous future.
