The Albany Herald of Wednesday
contains an account of a Mrs. Kettle
Bayles who, with four little ohildren,
arrived in that city the day previous,
saying she was from Tifton, and
that her husband had deserted her and
children, leaving them destitute, and
gone to the war. She said her par

The woman came to Tifton on the

from down about MoDonald, and
said the wanted to get to Albany.
She was given assistance, and a tioket
