We, the undersigned Book Committee
of the July term have examined the J. P.
books of the County, except those of the
Omega and Eldorado Districts, which
two J. P. books have not been delivered
for our inspection. We note a decided
improvement in the neatness and legibili
ty of those books cxnroined, and in so far
re could judge these records are cor
rect. A continuation of our duties in
examining the other County records of
account will he pursued and due report
made to the next Grand Jury.

Exhibit B
We, you r Committee on Public Build
ings, submit the following report: We
recommand that the halls and stairways
of the Courthouse be given a thorough
scrubbing, rubber spittoon msts be used
instead of newspapers now in use, and
all unnecessary articles be kept out of the
balls; that the toilet rooms and toilet
pment he kept in better sanitary con
dition and the writing on the walls be
thoroughly erased; that all rubbish in
the basement be removed and the dis
infectants nnd other materials used by
janitor be kept in closets; that the door
checks repaired; that a neat bulletin
board he s«*t on the wall where the pres
ent one now stands; that the papers and
other rubbish about tin* grounds be picked
up. We have a beautiful courthouse, one
that is a credit t 0 the county, nnd it
should he kept clean nnd attractive at nil
times.
Wo recommend that the water system
in the jail he gone over and repaired, that
the juil he screened, that the insane cell
be repaired; that all rubbish be removed
and unnecessary equipment be stored in a
convenient place; that wall of one cell
and the concrete floor of another be re
paired ; that the basement be so fixed to
prevent its becoming flooded: that one of
leaders from roof be repaired, and the
front steps he replaced.

We, your Commitee on Convict Camp,
beg to report that we find camp in good
condition. Wc find at camp, two mules:
one two-horse wagon, seven hogs, one one-
horse wagon and two convicts. Wc find
at work on National Highway north of
Chula, sixteen head of mules, two road
machines, one plow, seven convicts. We
found at work on Lennon bridge road
twenty convicts, eight wagons, two dump
wagons, sixteen mules. We find four of
County’s mule* very old and not in con
dition to do good work and recommend
that they be traded or sold. We find all
other mules in good condition. We found
mo barn at farm for mules and recommend
one be built. We recommend that the
County Commissioners consider the Blat
ter of disposing of county farm and get
ting one nearer Tifton to make more ae-'
cessible from all parts of County. I
