Why a National Bank is
Safe.
The U. S. Government requires a National
Bauk to secure its currency circulation by pur
chasing government bonds and depositing same
with the U. S. Treasurer.
It requires the National Bank to maintain at
all times a cash reserve equal to 25 per cent of its
deposits.
It does not allow this legal reserve to be re
deposited with oteer than National Banks,
United States Bauk Examiners go carefully
over the condition of this bauk at different intervals
Depositors interests are protected first, before
anybody or auythiug else.
The couttnued growth of this Bauk is the
best possible evidence that we treat all patrons
with courtesy and exteud to them every facility to
be fouud iu a modern banking institution.
