Mr T C Hughston who re
cently moved to this place from
Southern California, gave our
office a verv pleasant call last
Saturday. Mr Hughston is of
that class of citizens known as
the best and we welcome him
and his excellent wife, who
ormerly lived here, as perma-
'nent residents.

The Ladies Domino Club was
most delightfully entertained by

afternoon. The house was
beautifully decorated in cut
flowers, after several much en
joyed games, delicious refresh
ments of tomato, mayonaise,
chicken salad, pickles, crackers
and ice tea was served.
The Foreign Missionary So.
ciety will meet Thursday after
noon at half past three o’clock
with Mrs C M Tanner. This is
the end of the first quarter and
time to pay dues and extension.

had a delightful meeting with

tion of the Democratic party at the next

tions to fill the office of state treasurer, as
demonstrated by long and faithful service
formerly in that capacity, from which office
I voluntarily retired several years ago on
