The Rejected Savior.
“The son of man must sutler
many things, and be rejected.”
Luke 24
It is enough to be neglected
bv others, and often it briDgs
bitter grief and pain to human
hearts, when neglected by those
to whom we look lor kindness,
and for friendly attention ; but
(eel with sad disappointment
when met with cold indifference
and neglect, sometimes warm
loving hearts have been crushed
and broken by the cold neglect
of some one they have loved,
how kind should wo be toward
those who love us, lest by some
indifference or neglect we grieve
the heart of our lriend, and
break the golden chain ot love
that binds heart to heartin sweet
aflection ; but when we think of
how this world not only neglect,
ed, but still worse, rejected Jesus
how must his loving heait have
been pained, and with what sor
row he must have been oven
whelmed when he came to this j
world all lull of love and the
world knew him not • but turned
away from him and nid their
laces from him, Is. 53, and he
was indeed despised and rejected
of men, a man of sorrows and
acquainted with grief, until final
ly in Gethsemane he cries out,
“Now is my soul exceeding sor
rowful even unto death,”
But how much deeper must
have been his grief when his
own native people rejected him,
for “he came to his own, and
Isis own received him not.” John
1 :11, rejected by his own coun
try-men to whom first ot all he
came saying, “I am come to
seek and to save the lost, first
the lost of his own people of the
house ol Israel, but they rejected
him and turned every one to his
own way “and upon him was
laid the iniquity of us all.”
2 We now turn to those still
nearer to him, the people of his
own city. Surely they who have
known him from childhood, who
have seen the purity of his life,
and the evidences of his great
wisdom, will they too reject him
and pierce his heart with still
keener sorrows?
may seem, yet it was true, for
“He came to Nazareth where
he had been brought up, and
they were filled with wrath and
rose up and thrust him out of
the city” Luke 4:16:29, how
bitter the pangs ot soriow when
now his own home city turns
against him.

Since the old-fashioned theory of
curing eczema through the blood
has been given up by scientists,
many different salves have been
tried for skin diseases. But it has
been found that these salves only
clog the pores and can not penetrate
to the inner skin below the epider
mis where the eczema germs are
lodged.
This—the quality of penetrating—
probably explains the tremendous
success of the only standard liquid
eczema cure, oil of wintergreen as
compounded in D. D. D. Prescrip
tion. After ten years of cure after
cure, the world’s leading skin spe
cialists have accepted this as the
true eczema cure.
We ourselves do not hesitate to
recommend D. D. D. Prescription at

those who have never tried the pre

0.3.0. SKIN DISEASES
There is an evaporation from the body gotug on continually, day and.
night, through the pores and glands of the skin. This is nature’s way of'
maintaim-ng the proper temperature of our systems and preserving the soft
ness and flexibility of the skin, and so long as the blood is free from impur
ities no trouble will result. When, however, the blood from any cause
becomes infected with humors and acids, these too must be expelled, andi
coming in contact with the delicate fibres and tissues with which the skin is-
so abundantly supplied they produce irritation and inflammation, and the
-fleet is shown by Eczema, Acne, Tetter, and skin affections of various kinds.
These impurities and liumoss get into the blood through a deranged or
inactive condition of the system ; the members whose duty it is to carry off
the waste and refuse matter of the body fail to properly perform their work,,
and this impure, fermenting matter is left in the system to be absorbed by
the blood. The skin is not only affected by poisons generated within the-
system, but poisons from without, — ——
such as Poison Oak, Poison Ivy, , h .„ ultd your g . s . s „ , prl0l „ nd '
