On motion, a committee office were appoint

and, after a few minutes, reported, through
their chairman, Mr. Thomas Speer, the fol

WItEItEAS, The Legislature of (leorgia,
at its lust session, passed an act creating a

of said Court being nllowed the privilege of
holding Monthly courts, semi annual, and ex

us that the Court slum and be abolished,
or, at least, materially modified, believing,
as we do, that the coTlittTy irr in no condition
to pay the heavy taxes that will be entailed
upon it by the continuance of t-he Court.

next General Assembly, to have ibn act ei*c

Jirsulrnl, That, in our opinion, all cases
sounding in damages not exceeding fifty dol
lars might safely ho entrusted to the Jus

Bear the residence of the parties with little
trouble, and at a trifling cost.
llrsofi'rij , That, in our opinion, the Court
has failed to meet the expectation of its orig

officers ol the Court so far as our knowledge
extends.
Jtiseh'i’i/, That we have every confidence
in the patriotism and ability of the Gen

fore willing to entrust to their e ire the whole
subject of repealing or modifying the act
creating a “ County Court.”
ficto/t'nl, That we request the eitiz'tis of
other counties who coincide with ns in our
views here expressed, to take such action as
will cause their Senators and Keprcscuta

On motion, it was requested that the fore

the Secretary to each of the CwiHiu papers,
