De&fneu Cannot be Cured
by local applications,.as they cannot reach
the diseased portion of the ear. There is
only one way to cure deafness, and that is
by constitutional remedies. Deafness is
caused by an inflamed condition of the
mucous lining of the Eustachian Tube.
When this tube gets inflamed you have a
rumbling sound or imperfect hearing, and
when it is entirely closed deafness is the
result, and unless the inflammation can be
taken out and this tube restored to its
normal condition, hearing will be destroy
ed forever; nine cases out of ten are caused
by catarrh, which is nothing but an in
flamed condition of the mucous surfaces. s -
We will give One Hundred Dollars for
any case orDeafness (caused by catarrh)
that cannot be cured by Hall’s Catarrh
Cure. Send for circulars, free.

Practical Education for Farmers-
The legislators ol the aisle of Mary
land at its I,sat session set a very valu
able example for other states to follow
with great benefit by passing a bill es
tablishing a bureau kcown as ihe
"Farmers’ Institute.” The experiment
station connected with the Maryland
Agricultural College is practically al
the bead of the enterprise In every |
section of the stale farmers’clubs have
been established in which experiments
are discussed and. consultations had
over agriculluial subjects. The co op
eration of the farmer is a that
should have been started long since,
aod it cannot but contribute to indus
trial progress.
The Appalling Crime Record.
What is the moaning of the “epi
demic of crime” which has broken out
in so many parta of the country? The
country is at peace and fairly prosper
ous What is the cause, what is the
provocation for this outbreak? Are we
retrograding as i nation? Is it only
municipal govermeot which fails to
perform its functions? The record of
the rural districts is nearly as bad as
that of the cities’ all, wbat is
the remedy?—New York World.

Blood Poitou Cured..
'There is no doubt, according to the
many remarkable cures performed by
Botanic Blood Balm (“B. B. B.”) that it is
far the best Tonic and Blood Purifier ever
manufactured. All others pale into insig
nificance, when compared with it. It cures
pimples, ulcerstfkin diseases, and all man
ner of blood and skin ailments. Buy the
best, and don’t throw your money away
on substitutes. Try the long tested and
old reliable B. B. B. fl per large bottle.
For sale by Druggists.
A BAD CASE CURED.
Three years ago I contracted a blood
poison. I applied to a physician at once,
and his treatment came near killing me.
I employed an old physician and then
went to Kentucky. I then went to Hot
Springs and remained two months. Noth
ing seemed to cure me permanently, al
though temporary relief was given me. I
returned home a ruined man physically,
with but little prospect of ever getting well
I was persuaded to try Botanic Blood
Balm (B. B. B.) and to my utter astonish
ment it quickly healed every ulcer.
