Tuesday morning tbe news was

About one o’clock Mr. John

when he said be could find the
body if it was in there. A negro
carried him out in a buggy and

New Kloae Reel*.
Sometime ngo Mechanics Fire
Co. ordered a line four wheel reel
from a Barncaville firm. The reel
has been built, and will lie on ex
hibition at tbe State Fair in
Macon this month. Tbe builders
claim It to be the finest reel turned
out of their shop, and they have
made aorae very tine ones, notably
among them tbe one belonging to
No. 3, of Macon. The reel 1* to
weigh 450 pounds, and when till, d
with hose can be drawn by two
boys. A handsome picture of it
will be here in a few days. We
understand that the reel will be
named after our popular townsman,
Hon. C. F. Crisp.
Last Monday night Wide Awake
Fire Co. deoided to buy a new
four wheel hose reel, and started a
subscription list among its mem
bers for that purpose. Sufficient
encouragement was received to
know that they would get one.
They say they will not have one if
they cannot get tbe best made.
