It is probable that one of the
nicest parts ol the jollification will
be the fireworks, which will be sent
up from the artesian tower, so all
can have a fine opportunity of see
ing them. The committee in charge
of this part of the programme will
do all in their power to make the
display a creditable one.
The parade and torch-light pro
cession will ho headed by the fire
companies and will be in charge of
Chief J. J. Smith and Assistant J.
W. Mize. After these will follow
the band wagon anti band, cotton
buyers in ranks, trades in their va
rious orders, and Boaters and trans.
paroncies. The procession will
form at the Council Chamber and
march down Lee to Church Street,
up Church to Hampton, up Hamp
ton to Lamar, up Lamar to Cotton
Avenue, down the Avenue to For
syth, and up Forsyth to the Opera
House, where the Bpcaking will
take place. All the lime of the
march the two caunons will be
booming, the lire-works be going
olf, and a thousand and oue tin
horns be blowing.
Speeches will probably be made
by Congressman Crisp, Judge
Hawkins and other prominent citi
zens.
The ladies and children are in
vited out to see the demonstrations,
and for the first time in twenty-
four years see a Democratic Na
tional Jollification. The people
from the country are especially in

pine to keep the bonfires going.
