Suction l. Be It ordained and enacted by
the Mayor and City Council of Americas,
and it Is hereby ordained and enacted by the
autltpriiy of the same, That from and after
the passage of this ordinanc e Hectlon 899 of
the code of ordlnat c**sof the city of Ameri
cas, which prescribes that the Mayor and
City Council or Americus sha l by resolution
tlx the time within which all tax return
shall be mode, and cause the clerk and treas
urer to give thirty days public notice thereof,
he, end the same Js hereby repealed, and Jn
lieu thereof tue following section be enacted:
Hec.2. Belt further enacted and ordained
by the authority aforesaid. That from and
after the postage of this ordinance a*l tax re
turns shall he made between the first d*y of
April and the first day of July of each year.
That upon the first day of July of each year
it shall l>e the duty of the clerk and treasurer
to clvge his digest and to proceed to assess
and tax all unre'urned property as provided
in Hect Ion 4U0 of the code of ordinances oi the
city.
