Greatest in the South.
Such a highway woold be one of the
best advertised in the United States
and with proper co-operation on the
part of a few counties could be easily
had in operation for the fall and winter
season of 1911-12. From Atlanta to
Macon there would be but little to be
done to get a good highway. From
Macon down to Americus this year will
find a fine highway with the exception
of a few short stretches that could
easily be welded into the magnificent
highway if public interest wore suffic
iently awakened. From Americus to
Albany another year will see as good
a road as any autcist could wish. From
Albany on to Thomasvills the goad
roads spirit is running high. South of
Thomasville to Tallahassee is but
m ate and distinct as outlined in o ir
constitution, and they should remain
free from political bartering.
