Prior to the recent election in New

It seems that Colonel Roosevelt may
have the strenVious pleasure of spend
ing all of the three years he mentioned
In fighting against what he derisively
termed the '‘gangsters and Tammany

well as that In New Jersey, Connecti

a much more respectable and power

did Colonel Roosevelt and his sainted
companions. The Roosevelt stamp on
a candidate. Instead of being as It had
seemed heretofore to be a powerful
sesame, practically was sufficient in
itself to defeat such a candidate.
The people of New York, and the
entire country, for that matter, have
grown tired of all this Rooseveltlan

when Roosevelt himself has proved to

Cynics and bachelors and women-

are pretty level headed creatures, im

No -better proof of this Is needed
than to notice the disposition that
the inembtrs of last year’s graduating
