sealed bid proposals for a Request for Proposal (RFP) for
Emergency Ambulance Service located at 408 Thomaston
Street, Barnesville Georgia 30204. All seal bids will be
clearly marked: Emergency Ambulance Service and de
livered to Todaysia Colquitt, Accountant at 408 Thomas
ton Street Barnesville, Ga. 30204 on or before 3:00 p.m.
on Tuesday, December 9th, 2021. All sealed bids will be
opened on December 9th, 2021. Bids will be awarded Fri
day, December 10th, 2021 at the Lamar County Commis
sion Meeting. No faxed bids will be received or accepted.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECT (CDBG)
The City of Barnesville will hold a public hearing on Friday, December
3, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the Barnesville Civic Center, 685 Forsyth
Street, Barnesville, GA 30204. The purpose of the public hearing will
be to discuss the approved activities of the City’s FY2021 Community
Development Block Grant. On October 21,2021, the City was awarded
a grant of $750,000.00 to fund Water and Sewer Improvements. The
City will hold the public hearing in accordance with acceptable social
distancing and other COVID-related guidelines.
The following items will be discussed:
1) The amount of funds received and a description of each activity;
2) The amount of funds available for each activity and the amount of
funds that will benefit low and moderate income persons;
3) The plan, if applicable, to minimize the displacement of persons
and the plan to assist the people who may be displaced;
4) Fair Flousing and Equal Opportunity Requirements as they
pertain to FIUD Assisted Projects: Title VI of the Civil Rights Act
of 1964; Section 109 of the HCD Act of 1974, Title 1; Title VII of the
Civil Rights Act of 1968 (Fair Flousing Act); Section 104(b)(2) of the
Flousing and Community Development Act of 1974; Section 504 of
the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended; Title II of the Americans
with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA); and the Architectural Barriers Act
of 1968.
5) Section 3 Requirements - This project is covered under the
requirements of Section 3 of the FIUD Act of 1968, as amended and
Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply.
The public is invited to attend this public hearing to become informed of
the project activities.
