9-16-1 et. seq., any party
claiming an interest in the
following property is here
by notified that the follow
ing property was seized by
the undersigned agency
in Lamar County, Georgia:
ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-
SEVEN THOUSAND, FIVE
HUNDRED EIGHTY-EIGHT
DOLLARS ($137,588.00) IN
US CURRENCY AND A 2017
FORD F-350 TRUCK (VIN #
1FT8W3BT7HEE47532).
Conduct giving such
rise to said seizure was
as follows: On Novem
ber 22, 2021, Sgt. Mike
Brayton of the Lamar
County Sheriff’s Office was
patrolling Interstate 75 in
Lamar County, Georgia,
when he witnessed a 2017
Ford F-350 traveling at an
unsafe distance from the
vehicle it was following.
The vehicle also unsafely
crossed the center divider
line into an adjacent lane
of travel. Sgt. Brayton then
conducted a traffic stop.
The vehicle was driven by
Blanca Azuciena Saucedo
Cifuentes and the only
other passenger was Elvin
Oseas Cifuentes. When
speaking with the driver,
Sgt. Brayton could smell
a very strong odor of
marijuana emanating from
inside of the vehicle. Both
occupants were removed
from the vehicle and a
probable cause search
ensued. In the rear floor
board of the vehicle was
found a box that contained
United States currency.
A book bag on the rear
floorboard also contained
United States currency.
Even more currency was
found in the driver’s purse,
the glove box, the center
console and the passen
ger’s luggage. The total
amount of currency in the
vehicle was $137,588.00,
which was packaged in
banded bundles consistent
with that used in drug

sealed bags of suspected
marijuana was found un
der a tarp in the bed of the
truck. The total weight of
the marijuana discovered
in the vehicle was ap
proximately fifty-three (53)
pounds. The currency and
the vehicle were ultimately
seized by Sgt. Brayton in
Lamar County on Novem
ber 22, 2021. Both Ms.
Saucedo Cifuentes and Mr.
Cifuentes indicated that
they were driving from
California, where they
reside. Both were charged
with Trafficking in Marijua
na. The registered owner
of the 2017 Ford F-350 is
Juana M. Ramirez Salinas
of Riverside, California.
