PERSONAL PROPERTY
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. §
9-16-1 et. seq., any party
claiming an interest in the
following property is hereby
notified that the following
property was seized by the
undersigned agency in La
mar County, Georgia: THREE
THOUSAND, EIGHT HUN
DRED, AND FORTY-THREE
DOLLARS ($3,843.00) IN
UNITED STATES CURRENCY.
Conduct giving such
rise to said seizure was as
follows: On November 29,
2021, Sgt. Michael Bray-
ton of the Lamar County
Sheriff’s Office conducted a
traffic stop on Interstate 75
in Lamar County, Geor
gia, on a 2020 Chevrolet
Suburban driven by Martin
Rosales due to the unsafe
driving of Mr. Rosales.
Luis Rosales was the front
seat passenger. There
were 3 other occupants of
the vehicle as well. While
speaking with Mr. Martin
Rosales, Sgt. Brayton could
smell a strong odor of mari
juana coming from inside
of the vehicle. Sgt. Brayton
confronted Martin Rosales
about the odor and Martin
Rosales admitted that there
was marijuana in the ve
hicle. A subsequent search
of the vehicle produced a
box which contained 70
vacuumed sealed packages
of suspected marijuana
(approximately 70 pounds)
and $3,843.00 in United
States currency, which was
ultimately seized by Sgt.
Brayton in Lamar County
on November 29, 2021. Mr.
Martin Rosales and Mr. Luis
Rosales were both charged
with Trafficking Marijuana.
Mr. Martin Rosales later
admitted that the suspected
marijuana belonged to him
and that the purpose of his
traveling on Interstate 75
that day was to pick up the
marijuana.
Claimants who may have
an interest in said property
are MARTIN ROSALES and
LUIS ROSALES. Said prop
erty was used in violation
of O.C.G.A. § 9-16-1 et. seq.,
and 16-13-49 et. seq. in that
the item(s) was/were used
to facilitate the possession,
sale, and distribution of
controlled substances and/
or marijuana and/or are
proceeds derived or real
ized therefrom and that said
item was used directly or
indirectly used or intended
for use in any manner to
facilitate a violation of
O.C.G.A. Title 16, or of the
laws of the United States
or of any State relating to
marijuana/controlled sub
stance which is punishable
by imprisonment of more
than one year, and or said
property was found in close
proximity to controlled sub
stances and/or marijuana.
You are further notified

as follows: On Novem
ber 22, 2021, Sgt. Mike
Brayton of the Lamar
County Sheriff’s Office was
patrolling Interstate 75 in
Lamar County, Georgia,
when he witnessed a 2017
Ford F-350 traveling at an
unsafe distance from the
vehicle it was following.
The vehicle also unsafely
crossed the center divider
line into an adjacent lane
of travel. Sgt. Brayton then
conducted a traffic stop.
The vehicle was driven by
Blanca Azuciena Saucedo
Cifuentes and the only
other passenger was Elvin
Oseas Cifuentes. When
speaking with the driver,
Sgt. Brayton could smell
a very strong odor of
marijuana emanating from
inside of the vehicle. Both
occupants were removed
from the vehicle and a
probable cause search
ensued. In the rear floor
board of the vehicle was
found a box that contained
United States currency.
A book bag on the rear
floorboard also contained
United States currency.
Even more currency was
found in the driver’s purse,
the glove box, the center
console and the passen
ger’s luggage. The total
amount of currency in the
vehicle was $137,588.00,
which was packaged in
banded bundles consistent
with that used in drug
transactions. The driver
admitted that there was
an “unknown quantity” of
marijuana in the vehicle
as well. Under the front
passenger seat was found
a plastic bag containing
suspected marijuana. Ad
ditionally, 53 clear vacuum
sealed bags of suspected
marijuana was found un
der a tarp in the bed of the
truck. The total weight of
the marijuana discovered
in the vehicle was ap
proximately fifty-three (53)
pounds. The currency and
the vehicle were ultimately
seized by Sgt. Brayton in
Lamar County on Novem
ber 22, 2021. Both Ms.
Saucedo Cifuentes and Mr.
Cifuentes indicated that
they were driving from
California, where they
reside. Both were charged
with Trafficking in Marijua
na. The registered owner
of the 2017 Ford F-350 is
Juana M. Ramirez Salinas
of Riverside, California.
Claimants who may
have an interest in said
property are Blanca Azuci
ena Saucedo Cifuentes,
Elvin Oseas Cifuentes, and
Juana M. Ramirez Salinas.
Said property was used
in violation of O.C.G.A. §
9-16-1 et. seq., and 16-13-49
et. seq. in that the item(s)
