—Cannot some of ourcorrespnndonts send in
their articles a little earlier in the week? Gen
erally we aro out of “copy” on Mondays and
Tuesdays, anil have to rack our brain for some
thing to put in the paper. Then on Wednes

The fish Fry.
On last Saturday, high carnival was
held at Adams's Landing, over about
th :ee hundred fish netted on the day
previous. The party was chaperoned by
the estimable wife of Dr. Rogers, who
looked after the “creature comforts.”
Several “visiting members” were pres
ent, i«otue from North Georgia, some
from Florida, some from Long Pond,
and one, nlas! from Liruuswick, who we
fear bas come among us to win from ns
one of onr brightest buds of promise.
Rut to return to the picnic: The ground
was too rough tor promeuading, the
weather was too warm for dancing, the
bont was too mnddy for rowiug, the
lioys were too numerous for fair play,
and the girls too scarce for an even di
vide; but the fish were good, the butter -
milk aud potatos appetising, the music
enchanting, aud Alex's new buggy “got
there.” Many thanks are due to the
prime movers in this enjoyable affair.
Omta.
