—What will the Grand Jury develop with re
gard to the robbery of Mosely’s safe? lhe
public are expecting something of them. For
some reason unknown to us and to the general !
public, Sir. Mosely lias taken no steps in the ]
direction of punishing the perpetrators of that j
heinous crime, since his recovery of the safe,
notwithstanding the fact that several, if not all
of them, are known to the public. This is not ;
as it should bo. The public has an interest in
bringing theivos to justice, even if the party
most directly injured is satisfied by the recov
ery of his property. If so bold and hienous a
crime as this can bo perpetrated in our moist
and tho perpetrators remain in tho country
unmolested, what assurance have our citizens
that they will not be robbed or murdered at
any moment? The Grand Jury who meet next
week owe it to themselves, to tlieir county, to
their State, to their posterity, to thoroughly
sift and investigate this matter, and to indict
the guilty parties no matter how high or how
low they may stand in the scale of society, that
they may be brought to justico and punished
as such criminals deserve to lie punished.
Just Look atThtc.—
Wc want everybody who ov.-ts ns one cent to
come forward, without waiting to bo specially
called upon in person, and pay ns. Wo are
straining every nerve to raiso tho money noc- |
»vy to move our family to this place from up- 1
per Georgia, and we need every cent. It will
inomie“‘■ ' 'no ono tupay us the Hmafi sum
due ns, but ail those small sums put tocrcth'
and paid, would enable us to bo re-united w ith
our family, none of whom wc have ever seen
sinco we first cameamongyoulast spring. We ,
shall probably ncccr be hi such a strait again. I
Think ot our condition, and help us. We shall j
consider those who respond to this call as our
personal friends.
Thi-f, is not intended to refer to those who
have recently subscribed or renewed, on time.
