—Mr. A. L. Adams, lets the agency of the

say a good word for his monuments. We do
this cheerfully, as wo are convinced, by the
evidences that we have seen that it is a good
thing. It is as hard, as wtiite, and as smooth
as marble, and wiil last as long, while it will
not tarnish anil turn black by exposure to the
weather, as the best of marble will. Those in
need of monuments or tombstones will do well
to call on Mr. Adams.
Illness of Judge Kib’ose
On Sunday last Judge Kibbce, who hrol held
court here ail the week before, and lied taken
a recess until Monday morning with the ex
pectation Os holding court all this week if nec
essary in order to clear the dockets, was seizi I
with a violent attack ol' cholera morbus, lie
suffered severely during the afternoon and
night, and next morning was riot able to leave
his room. Shortly after noon, being still un
able for duty, hefisMied an order a Ijourning tin
court until the first Monday in June. Yester
day he was able to be conveyed to the boat,
which he took en rout e for home. Considera
ble anxiety is felt among his many friends here
lest tho exertion incident to tlio trip should
prove too much for him in his weakened con
dition. and bring on a relap- -. We shall await
with anxiety the news of his recovery.
