of this county, and remembered by
many friends and kinsmen, but who
for several years has resided in Bruns
wick, spent a few hours in Uvalda
one day last week.

He was accompanied home by his
two nieces, Misses Velma and Mary
Louise McArthur, who spent a short

for the fall term Monday, the 9th,
and an entrance fee of SI.OO for each
pupil will be charged, payable to M.

Saturday, the 7th, at the store of

homestead in the Epping section of
Montgomery county.
Services are being held in the even
ing only, and it is possible that this
will be continued beyond the week.
The attendance has been very good
and interest is manifested. During
the year Sabbath school has been held
at the place every Sunday afternoon,
and the attendance has been remarka
bly good.
Mr. F. Lee Mcßae of Mt. Vernon,
owner of the plantation, began this
work and he has been assisted by the
Mt. Vernon ministers and different
laymen, together with support trom
the good citizens of the community.
During the past few weeks the attend
ance has been around 60 and 70.
