from said point on Horse creek in a West
erly direction through lands of H. B.
Butler, Howard Maxwell, Tom Maxwell
and Mr. Ferrells, mid intersecting the
Reno and Concord public rond,- being a
distance of approximately two miles.and
represented ns being a greater public util-
ty, bo made a public road in lieu of snid
portion of said Hawthorne trail proposed
to be discontinued.

called to t he bedside of Mrs. Willis’
brother-in-law, Mr. W- S. Cooper
last Sunday. We hope him a
speedy recovery.

On tnalion it was decided to ask
Judge Cox, that to the heavy ex
penses of the courts, that he not
call the Grand Jury together for
the Special Term of Superior Court
to lie held in July.
Upon motion D. P. Ward, Arch
Harrell arid T. W. Fnircloth were,
appointed as a committee to stake
] out changes in two certain public
roads in the Higdon District.
On motion adjourned.
