owing to the protracted meeting
at the Methodist church, he did
not fill his regular appointment

Accidentally Shot Himself.
Clarence PTee was the victim
of a rather painful and serious j
accident Mondav evening
through which he came near los
ing one of his fingers, While
handling a pistol the weapon
was accidentally discharged in
his hands, the ball cutting
through the left fore finger and
badly fracturing the bone.
Arrested for Vagrancy.
Annie Hayes and Carrie John
son,two negro women, were ar
rested Saturday and carried be
fore Judge Jones of the 1324 th
district in Decatur countv, for
trial. They were committed to
jail to aw'it final in the city
Court of Bainbridge. The peo
ple of that section are right in
behind these idlers and loiterers
and as they are a menace to the
labor situation,, they propose to
rid the county of them.
