Mexico City, Feb. 22.—A regiment
of federal cavahy turned the table*
upon a body of tnaurrectos laat Sun
day, according to advices from Tor-
rcon, ambushing them near Pedricc-
na, Du ango, and inflicting loses said
to number more than seventy dead.
The rebels who had been terror
izing the Pedrlcena district for two
weeks, were proceeding toward Ma-
pirn!, fifty miles to the north. At the
same time the Eleventh federal cav-
airy arrived at Xazas, twenty mile<
west of Pedrlcena, and at once start
ed to intercept the revolutionists.
They sighted the enemy without them
selves being seen and waited at a
point where the rebels had to pass.
The latter were caught between a
federal cross-fire, became panic strick
en and were badly beaten. Those
ho were able to escape threw away
their antis and fled' In confusion.
