BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF JAIL
State of Georgia, County of Ware:
The Commissioners of Roads and
Revenues for the County of Ware in
vite bids for the construction and
erection of a modern jail and jailors
home, the building thereof to be con
structed either of brick or reinforced
concrete, according to the plans and
specifications now on file in the ofll
ces of aid Commissioners.
The terms of payment to bo made
as follows: Ono half (1-2) of the
contract price to be paid as the work
progresses, ihe remaining ono half
(1-2) to be paid twelve (12) months
from the completion and acceptance
of same, and tho deferred payment
to bear interest at the rate of six per
centtum per annum.
A certified check for Twenty Five
Dollars ($25) will bo required to be
made payable to and deposited with
Derry, Clerk of the Commis
sioners, from all prospective bidders
who obtain a copy of the plans and
specifications, the same to be return
ed upon tho return of the plans and
specifications.
A certified check made payable to
K. J. Berry, the Clerk of said Com mis
sioners for Twenty Five Hundred Dol
lar s ($2,500.00) must accompany ouch
bid, before the same will bo connia-
ered, and to all unsusccbssful bidders,
the same will be roturned. Tho check
of the successful bidder wlM bo. re
tained by tho Commissioners uitil
such bidder has mado a good and
sufficient bond with approved securi
ty, guaranteeing tho completion tt
the contract In the terms of his Old.
Upon his failure to comply with this
requirement as to giving boad within
ten days after tho awarding of tho
contract, the samo will bo forfeited
to the county.
Bids will bo received up to noon
of April 20th, 1911, at which time tho
same will be opened and considered
by said Commisisoners, with the
right resorvod to reject aLy and nV
bids.
It is contemplated that this con
tract will exceed the suai of IIto
Thousand Dollars, and notice Is glr^n
in accordance with the f /ovisloni of
the law in such cases made and p*o
