; ft was a good clean game of ball
we had yesterday between the Way-
cross High School and the Blackshear
Piesbyterlal Institute, and we want
to congratulate these young men,
both for their gentlemanly behavior
and the game they played. The Way-
cross boys were outclassed both in
v-eight and practice, but they fought
gamely and never gave up to the
very last.
The batteries were for Blackshear,
Brown and Way; for Waycross, Ben
nett a(nd DuBose. Bennett pitched
a good game. The features of the
game were a home run lilt by Me*
Eachern, and the batting of Way-
ernes. He got a hft every time he
went to the bat.
